Project description
This Art Nouveau apartment building is situated at 8-9 Topolowa St., in the old part of Gdańsk Wrzeszcz, near the city centre, about 700 meters away from the Gdańsk-Wrzeszcz national railway and SKM (Rapid Urban Railway) station and about 350 meters away from Grunwaldzka Street - the main arterial road of the district. The building, which has three aboveground stories and a basement, was originally built at the beginning of the 20th century. In 2001 it underwent comprehensive upgrading and expansion, as a result of which the following were created: 11 residential apartments with floor spaces from 60 m² to 140 m², 2 commercial units with 443 m² total floor area, and a garage with individual parking spaces and storage premises for the dwellers on the underground storey, as well as basements for tenants. The project was completed in 2001, as a part of own housing development projects implemented by MEGA S.A., an entity related to MEGA-INWEST S.A.
