24.09.2024, a gala ceremony was held to present awards to the Laureates of the CONSTRUCTION OF THE YEAR 2023 Contest, organized by the Polish Association of Construction Engineers and Technicians. We are pleased that the construction of the multifamily residential building “Demptowska 3”, which we completed last year, received the third degree award.
The award-nominee is an intimate building in a quiet neighborhood, surrounded by forest. There are only 20 apartments in the building, and each apartment comes with a garden, balcony or terrace. The building and its entire surroundings have been designed so that people with limited mobility can easily get around. “Demptowska 3” draws from the tradition of modernist architecture in Gdynia, which is characterized by a cubist simple form. The facade uses muted colors, white, gray and black, which gives the building a calm character while maintaining harmony with the greenery of the surroundings. The development was planned in accordance with the idea of “inward urban development,” which aims to prevent suburban sprawl, instead using the potential of existing, often old, neighborhoods. The award-winning building with its dimensions is close to the neighboring buildings, and with its modernist appearance certainly improves the aesthetics of the Demptowo district.
The competition is dedicated to construction investments that stand out from other realizations made in our country, so we are extremely pleased that our realization was appreciated by the Organizing Committee.
