Visit of Students from Państwowe Szkoły Budownictwa im. prof. Mariana Osińskiego in Gdańsk to Collegia Construction Site
Recently, our Collegia dormitory construction site in Gdańsk was visited by a group of students from the State Construction Schools named after Prof. Marian Osiński in Gdańsk. This marked their second visit to the project, during their first visit, at structural phase, they learned about process of erecting a reinforced concrete structure with a filigree slab system and were introduced to principles of site logistics, including material unloading with use of a tower crane.
This time, students had the opportunity to explore subsequent stage of works, which involved advanced interior finishing activities as well as facade works. Particular attention was given to two facade systems applied in project: External Thermal Insulation Composite System (ETICS) and facade installed on a substructure.
The group also had the chance to see implementation of a green roof. With help of a construction lift, they reached rooftop, where its structure and methods of connection with facade were presented.
We are pleased to have been able to host future engineers and construction technicians, providing them with insight into how theoretical knowledge is translated into practical solutions on a large-scale investment. We trust that this experience will serve as valuable inspiration in their further education and professional development.
